3 advices that changed my life

After 300+ episodes of speaking to individuals who are killing in their respective fields, iā€™d be a true loser if i didnā€™t learn a thing or two along the way.

So to prove thatā€™s not why iā€™m a loser, hereā€™s 3 advices i was given on the pod that truly changed my life and i hope it helps you in some way, too

  1. When youā€™re feeling overwhelmed, just focus on your next step.Ā

with over 100M views worldwide across varies platforms, this is our most viral FG moment of all time but it was just as powerful in person. I asked Rick (fireman who worked Grenfell) on some advice when on feels overwhelmed. This simple advice has shaped the way i think to this day.

  1. when people say horrible things about you, remember that the prophet ļ·ŗ went through the same

Ustadh Yahya dropped some gems to me one time. I expressed that i read a few comments online about myself that i felt were untrue, and they hurt me right in the feels. He reminded me that people even talk bad about Allāh (saying He has a son, and many other things), and people would say untrue things about the Prophet ļ·ŗ, so who am i? The point is, those peoples words shouldnā€™t hold that much weight to you. May Allāh make us of those who hold our tongues and obey Him in every way.

  1. Choose principles over power

This ones from Hamza Tzortzis. During our live tour, he said in his speech: if you ever have to make the choice between power and principle, choose principle. Because if you have power without principles, your power becomes your weakness. But if you have principles but no power, your principles will become your success.

Tweet of the Week

Mufti dropping bars as always:

Ask me anything with Arnaut Danjuma

as you know we recently launched the FG community, an exclusive community of conscientious, high-achieving Muslims who share common values and are keen to learn from and network with each other.

In my initial commitment, I pledged to involve my personal network in this endeavor, and to honour that pledge, we will be hosting our first-ever 'Ask Me Anything' session with Arnaut Danjuma in the upcoming weeks.

DJ will be participating directly in our Discord channel, answering your queries in real-time. The specific date and time for this event are yet to be finalized but will be announced soon. This is an opportunity you wouldn't want to miss. I cordially invite you to apply to become part of the Freshly Grounded Community here.

What Else is Happening:

  • We were meant to drop our episode with Hamza Tzortzis this past Friday but a slight logistical issue means we gotta sit on it a bit longer, sorry!

  • Iā€™m gonna be hosting weekly zoom drop-in sessions in the FG community (every sunday night) where you can ask me anything related to digital marketing, podcasting or how iā€™m an absolute tank when it comes to backing french toast

Thatā€™s all, folks. See you on the flip side, in shāā€™ Allāh šŸŽ‰
