A Decade in the Game: 13 Lessons from My Experience

Rule 1: Do What You Love

“You can fail at what you don’t love, so you might as well take a chance doing what you love”

It's about finding passion in your work. When you love what you do, it transcends the concept of 'work' and becomes a part of who you are.

Rule 2: Don't Always Listen to Others

“If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse” - Henry Ford 

Sometimes, the best path isn't the one others have laid out for you, but the one you carve for yourself.

Rule 3: Be a Morning Person

“An hour before 9 is worth 2 after 5” - Ali Abdaal

Embracing the morning can unlock productivity and opportunities that others might miss.

Rule 4: Private vs Public Deeds

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."

True success and character are built in private, away from the public eye, and revealed in public moments.

Rule 5: Be Action Oriented

“There is no shortage of remarkable ideas, what’s missing is the will to execute them”

Action begets opportunity. Don't wait for chances, create them with your actions.

Rule 6: Don't Measure Success How Others Measure Success

Define success on your own terms, aligning it with your values and beliefs.

Rule 7: Arrogance is Bad, Honour is Good

Stay humble and true to your principles; it's the foundation of lasting respect and integrity.

Rule 8: Focus Focus Focus

Your focus determines your reality. Channeling your energy on your goals is crucial.

Rule 9: People See Through Fakeness

"I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence."

Authenticity is transparent and valuable. Be genuine in your endeavors.

Rule 10: Self Critical vs Self Confident

Balance self-critique with confidence. Know your strengths and weaknesses and play to your strengths.

Rule 11: Your Network Is Indeed Important

The people you surround yourself with shape your path. Cultivate meaningful connections.

Rule 12: Be Weird, But Not Too Weird

"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."

Embrace your uniqueness but remain relatable and grounded.

Rule 13: You Can't Please Everyone

"You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you cannot please all of the people all of the time."

Accept that not everyone will agree or align with you, and that's perfectly okay.
